Global Gaming Insider (GGI) is committed to accurate, independent and fair reporting on the global gaming and iGaming industry. This page sets out the standards our editorial team works to across all of our output - news, analysis, magazine features, newsletters and video interviews.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify information before we publish it. Our reporting is based on primary sources wherever possible: company announcements, regulatory filings, official statements, financial results and on-the-record interviews.
Where we report information from a single unnamed source, we say so. Where a claim is disputed, we present it as disputed. We seek comment from companies and individuals who are the subject of significant claims before publication, and we reflect their response where one is given.
Press releases may inform our coverage, but they are treated as a starting point, not a finished story. Material republished from a press release is identified as such.
Independence
GGI's editorial coverage is produced independently of our commercial operations. Advertisers and commercial partners do not review, approve or influence editorial content before publication, and advertising status has no bearing on whether a company receives coverage - positive or negative.
Our journalists do not accept payment, gifts or hospitality in exchange for coverage. Where travel or accommodation for an industry event is provided by a third party, we disclose it in the relevant coverage.
Sponsored and commercial content
Some content on GGI is paid for by commercial partners. This content is always clearly labelled - for example as "Sponsored", "Partner content" or "Advertisement" - and is visually distinguishable from editorial content. Sponsored content is never presented as independent journalism, and our editorial team retains the right to decline commercial content that does not meet our standards.
Corrections policy
We correct errors promptly and transparently.
Significant errors - anything that changes the meaning of a story, misstates a fact, misattributes a quote or misidentifies a person or company - are corrected on the article itself, with a note stating what was changed and the date of the amendment. Where a story was materially wrong, the correction note appears at the top of the article.
Minor fixes - typographical or formatting errors that do not change the meaning of a story - may be made without annotation.
Updates - where a story develops after publication (for example, a company responds after our deadline), we update the article and mark it as updated with the date. Updates are distinct from corrections: an update adds new information; a correction fixes an error.
We do not unpublish articles because a subject finds the coverage unfavourable. Articles are removed or substantially rewritten only in exceptional circumstances, such as legal requirement or serious ethical concern, and at the discretion of the senior editorial team.
If you believe we have published something inaccurate, contact us at [email protected] with a link to the article and details of the error. Correction requests are reviewed by a senior editor.
Interviews and quotes
Quotes are reported accurately and in context. We do not offer interviewees copy approval, though we may verify quotes or technical facts prior to publication. Interviews conducted for our video and podcast output are edited for length and clarity only.
Attribution and plagiarism
We credit the original source of reporting that we did not break ourselves, with a link where available. Plagiarism - presenting the work of others as our own - is not tolerated.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to assist with research, transcription and production tasks. All published editorial content is written, reviewed and approved by our journalists, who are accountable for its accuracy. We do not publish AI-generated articles.
Responsible gambling
GGI covers the gambling industry for a professional, B2B audience. We report on responsible gambling, regulation and player protection as core beats, and we take care that our coverage does not promote gambling to consumers or trivialise gambling-related harm.
Conflicts of interest
Editorial staff must declare any financial interest in companies they cover, including shareholdings in operators, suppliers or affiliates. Staff do not report on companies in which they hold a material interest.
Complaints and contact
To raise a concern about our coverage, contact the editorial team at [email protected]. Complaints are reviewed by a senior editor and we aim to respond within five working days.
This policy is reviewed annually by the editorial leadership of Global Gaming Insider.
