Interblock: G2E 2026 will mark ‘our most complete portfolio to date’

SVP of Sales Peter Herem previews the supplier’s booth at G2E 2026, as well as Interblock’s strategic goals following its recent leadership transition to new CEO Kay Oswald.

Which products will Interblock be showcasing at this year's G2E and what type of feedback is the supplier hoping to receive from consumers and clientele?

This will be one of our most complete G2E presentations to date. We will introduce new AMUSE games and mechanics, alongside developments across our ETG portfolios: Smart Pit, Stadium, Universal Cabinets, and standalones. We will also debut how our content can reach players beyond the casino floor.

Player and operator feedback serve different purposes, and we need both. From players, we want to understand what captures their attention, how quickly they understand the games, and what brings them back. From operators, we are looking for direct feedback on performance, floor placement, configuration, service, and commercial fit. Those conversations help us refine individual products and determine how the full portfolio can best support each property.

How has Interblock improved its product strategy since last year's show to help meet the evolving needs of gaming operators?

Over the past year, we have placed greater emphasis on moving products from development to commercial readiness. Operators want innovation, but they also need clear timelines, dependable service, and products they can confidently plan around.

We have worked more closely across sales, product, operations, and service to ensure those considerations are addressed earlier in the process. We have also continued developing more flexible configurations, allowing operators to select the footprint, game mix, and level of automation that best fit their property.

At G2E, operators will experience our most complete portfolio to date, with a strong range of products ready for deployment. That changes the conversation. We can move beyond demonstrating concepts and begin discussing placement, timing, and execution.

Given Interblock's reputation for creating one of the more innovative spaces at every G2E, what can be shared about the design of its booth for this year's show?

The theme of this year’s booth is “Enter the New,” and the design is intended to make that message clear from the moment guests step inside. Rather than treating the space as a series of unrelated product displays, we are creating distinct environments that allow each portfolio to be experienced in the way it was designed.

Comparing those conversations helps us determine which needs are global, which are market-specific and where a product can be adapted rather than developed separately for each region

AMUSE will have a strong presence, with the games presented together so guests can experience the sound, movement, and energy of the collection at full scale. The broader design will also reflect how Interblock has evolved over the past year. It will feel cohesive, focused, and very different from a traditional trade show display, while still providing the right setting for substantive customer conversations.

As the supplier transitions leadership to new CEO Kay Oswald, what are its strategic goals for the remainder of 2026 and how will G2E act as a launching point for said achievements?

With Kay Oswald joining Interblock as CEO, our focus for the remainder of 2026 is execution. We have expanded our portfolio, invested in our service organization, and brought several groundbreaking products to market. The next step is converting that work into sustained commercial growth while continuing to strengthen how we support our customers.

That includes expanding AMUSE across North America and preparing for additional international installations, growing our presence across other product categories, and advancing new distribution opportunities for our content.

G2E is important because it brings those priorities together. We will be able to present what is commercially ready, introduce what is new, and meet directly with customers about deployment. It gives Kay and the leadership team a global platform to establish the direction of the company’s next phase.

Having recently partnered with Foxwoods Resort Casino on the property's new Innovation Zone, how does Interblock continue to expand its relationship with Tribal partners ahead of G2E?

The Foxwoods Innovation Zone is a great example of what can happen when an operator and supplier create something together. It gives players access to AMUSE and other emerging gaming experiences within a dedicated environment, while giving both teams an opportunity to observe how players respond and continue evolving the space.

Those conversations help us refine individual products and determine how the full portfolio can best support each property

Our approach to Tribal partnerships begins with listening. Every property has its own market, operating model, regulatory considerations, and player preferences. We work with each partner to determine the right games, configuration, training, service, and launch support for their operation.

Ahead of G2E, we are continuing those conversations across Tribal gaming. Foxwoods demonstrates that Tribal operators can be early adopters of new casino experiences, and we see significant opportunity to build similar long-term partnerships.

Which games in Interblock's portfolio are currently best suited for Tribal operators and to help Indian gaming continue to meet expanding consumer interests?

Tribal operators serve highly diverse markets, so the best solution depends on the property. Our portfolio provides ways to address different player and operational needs. Our Class II-certified products such as MiniStar Roulette address specific regulatory requirements. It is the ability to build the right mix around the property’s players, space, and business goals.

Following the debut of its new Las Vegas showroom, how will the space help broaden client relationships for Interblock?

The new showroom gives us a permanent environment where customers can spend meaningful time with the products outside the pace and pressure of a trade show. We can provide more detailed demonstrations, bring together the right sales and product experts, and focus the conversation on the customer’s specific floor.

It will also support training, product familiarization, and earlier customer feedback. Instead of waiting for a major industry event to introduce an update or gather input, we can invite customers into the process throughout the year.

The showroom is a place to work through configurations, compare products, and help customers make informed decisions based on what will work within their operation.

Additionally, how will the showroom come into play for Interblock's G2E strategy this year?

The showroom gives us another way to prepare customers for G2E and extend the value of the show beyond the convention floor. We can use it for advance previews, more detailed product sessions, and conversations that require additional time or privacy.

At G2E, operators will experience our most complete portfolio to date, with a strong range of products ready for deployment

It is also valuable internally. Our sales and service teams can become familiar with the full presentation before G2E, which helps ensure that customer demonstrations are consistent and technically accurate.

Not every customer can attend the show, and even those who do may not have enough time to explore every product in depth. The showroom allows those conversations to continue before and after G2E, making the event part of a longer customer engagement rather than a single three-day interaction.

In what ways can G2E help foster collaboration across the gaming industry, as well as inspire new innovation from suppliers and operators?

G2E brings together people who view the casino floor from different perspectives. Operators understand the daily realities of running a property. Suppliers bring product, technology, and market expertise. Regulators, analysts, and other industry partners add another level of insight. Innovation improves when those perspectives are discussed openly.

For Interblock, some of the most valuable conversations happen when an operator explains a problem we may not have considered or reacts to a product in an unexpected way. Those discussions can influence features, configurations, service models, and future development.

The show also allows operators to compare ideas across the industry and challenge suppliers to keep improving. G2E is valuable not simply because of what companies present, but because of the conversations that continue after everyone leaves Las Vegas.

How can shows such as G2E help Interblock develop its product roadmap for the US market as compared to regions such as APAC and Europe?

Our core product strategy is global, but the priorities within each market are different. In the US, conversations often center on commercial readiness, service coverage, Class II and Class III requirements, labor efficiency, flexible footprints, and products that can serve a broad player base.

APAC has strong table game traditions, high-volume environments, and demand for localized content and efficient configurations. Europe includes a wide range of regulatory structures, property sizes, and operating models, so adaptability and certification are especially important.

G2E gives us concentrated feedback from US operators, while shows such as ICE and our regional customer meetings provide the same perspective internationally. Comparing those conversations helps us determine which needs are global, which are market-specific, and where a product can be adapted rather than developed separately for each region.
