Preview: Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2026
With the next Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific set to take place in June 2026, we look ahead to what might be in store at the ceremony.
The Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific celebrates its fifth ceremony this year, and its third held in person, after the 2022 and 2023 awards were held virtually. Set to be presented at a luncheon event during the same week as the SiGMA Asia Summit 2026, the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific is set to offer the same level of sophistication, excitement and celebration as its sister ceremonies: the EMEA and Americas Awards.
As usual, the 2025 Awards will not only be decided upon by our Judging Panel, but will also be independently adjudicated by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies. This ensures votes remain fair, allowing the true stars of the current Asia-Pacific market to stand out from their competitors.
Staple categories include Casino Operator of the Year and Casino Supplier of the Year, which in 2025 went to Galaxy Entertainment Group and Light & Wonder, respectively. These, of course, will be making their return, as will Digital Operator of the Year and Digital Casino Supplier of the Year, Casino Product and Table Game Product of the Year, and more.
Two highly sought-after categories, Integrated Resort of the Year and Executive of the Year, will also make their return. Last year’s Integrated Resort winner was Galaxy Macau, and with earnings of HK$10bn (US$1.29bn) in Q2 2025, up 16% from the year before, it is understandable why it was able to claim such an accolade. Meanwhile, Executive of the Year went to SJM Holdings Chairman & Executive Director Daisy Ho, following 2024’s winner, PAGCOR Chairman & CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.
Nominations for the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific will be opened at the start of the New Year, so be sure to keep your ears to the ground for updates on things to come. The Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific, as mentioned, will take place during the same week as the SiGMA Asia Summit in Manila, Philippines, Last year, the conference drew 16,000 delegates from around the world, with over 250 speakers, 300 exhibitors and sponsors, and 3,100 operators. In total, 87% said they would likely return next year and, alongside new attendees, it is more than likely that 2026’s event will be even bigger than the last.
Opportunities for networking will be available across the three-day event, including dinners, drinks and the SiGMA Official Celebration. However, an exclusive opportunity will be available to those attending the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific, with entertainment and drinks set to provide the background for networking among the Asia-Pacific markets most prominent businesses and executives.
With the 2024 Awards also seeing wins from Aristocrat, Bet88, Pragmatic Play, Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts and BetConstruct, attendees can expect to rub shoulders with a star-studded executive guestlist. For those looking to familiarize themselves with major players, or those simply looking to celebrate the best of the gaming industry, getting to the Awards before the presentation begins is a must.
“We are so proud of what the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific has become over the last five years,” said Global Gaming Awards Event Manager Mariya Savova. “As the sector recovers from the effects of Covid-19, we are seeing new innovations and markets opening for the first time. The UAE has been particularly fascinating to watch, even with its flagship land-based casino still in development.”
Established markets are also seeing development, with Macau beginning to close the gap on pre-Covid-19 earnings. October 2025 saw the territory earn MOP 24.09bn ($3.01bn), up 15.9% year-on-year, which accounts for 91% of what was earned in October 2019. Will 2026 see that final 9%?
“I look forward to welcoming this year’s nominees to our presentation on day two of one of our industry’s biggest Asia-Pacific events,” Savova continued. “Every nominee should be proud of themselves, as just to be nominated proves much about the quality of your work.
“I wish you all the best of luck!”
