Norsk Rikstoto reported a total betting turnover of NOK 3.2bn ($332.2m) in 2025, up 3.6% compared with the previous year. The number of active customers increased by 3.0% to just under 180,000.
Growth was mainly driven by the stronger appeal of the main Saturday products, including additional Super Saturday rounds and the introduction of V85 as a new betting product.
Camilla Garmann, CEO of Norsk Rikstoto, stated: “Despite reduced visibility and limited marketing, we see positive development in both turnover and customer numbers. This confirms that attractive games within responsible frameworks still resonate with the market.”
The total annual surplus was NOK 495m, which will be returned to the horseracing sector. Profits generated by the organisation are allocated to Norwegian horseracing, horse care and horse breeding.
Responsible gaming remains a central part of Norsk Rikstoto’s operations. In 2025, the company continued and strengthened its support for at-risk players, including carrying out more proactive conversations. The number of such discussions rose to 698. At the same time, responsible gambling tools such as self-exclusion and play breaks were made more accessible through digital channels.
Erik Røste, Norsk Rikstoto Chair, stated: “Our mission is to balance attractiveness and responsibility. Norsk Rikstoto should not increase gambling urges but ensure that existing interest is channelled into safe and regulated frameworks.”
The board emphasises that supportive regulatory conditions for horse betting are essential to maintaining high channeling efficiency and providing an attractive betting offer in the future.
In late 2025, the Norwegian Lottery Authority fined Norsk Rikstoto NOK 2m for violations of anti-money-laundering laws
