In one of the most popular tourist destinations across North America, there is never a shortage of exciting attractions to visit each month. Global Gaming Insider continues its series by showcasing the most prominent events and shows coming to Las Vegas during September 2026 across sports, entertainment and new conferences & exhibitions.
Major Las Vegas sporting events taking place in September
NFL: Raiders begin 2026-2027 regular season
On September 13, the Las Vegas Raiders kick off the 2026-2027 NFL regular season with a matchup against the Miami Dolphins, currently sitting as favorites on most US sportsbooks. Las Vegas is still deciding who will start at quarterback between veteran Kirk Cousins and first overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza, although it’s been expected the Raiders will provide Mendoza with plenty of time to become acclimated to the NFL.
Behind star players such as Maxx Crosby and Brock Bowers, excitement is building once again in Las Vegas for the start of the regular season, especially with new head coach Klint Kubiak at the helm. Kubiak recently helped the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl as offensive coordinator, and will look to bring similar fundamentals to a Raiders squad in need of positive momentum.
WNBA: Las Vegas Aces headed for Playoffs once again
While the WNBA will take a short break due to international competition, the Las Vegas Aces play their final two home games on September 20 and 22, prior to the league’s Playoffs beginning on September 27. As the reigning WNBA champions, Vegas has generated unparalleled success in the WNBA recently, building upon Finals victories in 2022 and 2023 as well.
The Aces take on the Seattle Storm on September 20 and the Los Angeles Sparks on September 22 before determining who will become their first round matchup in the 2026 postseason. From the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay, the Aces have no issue packing the venue year-after-year given the franchise’s dominant run over the past five years.
NHL: Golden Knights look to bounce back from Finals loss
After coming off a Stanley Cup Finals loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Vegas Golden Knights will look to challenge for NHL supremacy once again, beginning its 2026-2027 regular season against the Chicago Blackhawks on September 29. While the Golden Knights have yet to announce a major offseason acquisition – quite surprising given the franchise’s headline-grabbing tendencies – the roster still features plenty of talent in the form of Jack Eichel, Mitch Marner, Mark Stone and Shea Theodore.
Whether the Golden Knights can replicate the success of last season remains to be seen, but the franchise has only failed to qualify for the playoffs once in its nine-year history. Vegas routinely captures the attention of the entire city when playing well, meaning September 29 will be a can’t-miss event at T-Mobile Arena.
Which musical acts are must-see in Las Vegas during September?
Usher & Chris Brown
Usher and Chris Brown co-headline The R&B Tour 2026 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 5-6 and 18, 2026, marking the first-ever co-headlining stadium tour for both artists. The show features a mix of Usher’s classics from Confessions, My Way and Yeah! alongside Chris Brown’s hits like Run It, Kiss Kiss, With You and No Guidance.
Following a sell-out of the September 5 show, Usher and Chris Brown added a third date to the Las Vegas end of their tour to help meet a growing demand from Sin City residents. Usher became a prominent name in Las Vegas following his My Way – The Vegas Residency lineup of shows between 2022-2023, covering over 100 events during the two-year run.
Foo Fighters
On September 26, the Foo Fighters continue their Take Cover Tour 2026 at Allegiant Stadium, featuring new tracks from the band’s Your Favorite Toy album, classic hits, rarities and long singalongs for fans. Representing one of the most successful and influential rock bands of the 21st century, the Foo Fighters have garnered 15 Grammy Awards from 34 nominations, including five victories for Best Rock Album.
The Foo Fighters show at Allegiant Stadium showcases the venue’s ability to attract stars of any genre, coming just days after Usher and Chris Brown conclude the Las Vegas leg of their R&B-based tour. The September 26 show will certainly fill out Allegiant Stadium, with fans of all ages making their way toward the Las Vegas Strip.
Carín León
Global superstar Carín León will become the first Latino artist to play at the Sphere in Las Vegas, confirming shows on September 4-6 and 10-13. Fans will have the opportunity to experience visual displays and staging never before seen in Spanish-language music during the shows, which will also be part of Las Vegas’ annual Mexican Independence Day celebration.
Following Karol G’s trip to Las Vegas in August, Carín León will look to carry on the LatAm music momentum in Sin City this September, representing history at The Sphere venue. With a limited run of shows, tickets will surely be hard to come by for fans, but the new Latin integrations will only broaden the Sphere’s presence in music entertainment.
Conferences & exhibitions set to take over Las Vegas
Small Business Expo 2026
From The Plaza Hotel & Casino Convention Center on September 10, the Small Business Expo will provide opportunities to learn from entrepreneurial experts, make meaningful connections and explore solutions for new growth. The Small Business Expo event is the perfect networking opportunity for any small business owner, and takes place in the heart of the Downtown Las Vegas area.
Attendees can also enjoy entertainment along the well-known Fremont Street in Las Vegas, including the Container Park, Mob Museum, free musical acts and LED shows.
