SCCG has announced Venezuela's first international gaming conference, which will take place in Caracas on April 27-29, 2027 at the Eurobuilding Hotel & Suites.
The conference will bring together operators, technology providers, regulators, banking and payments companies and investors. Officials from Venezuela's Comisión Nacional de Casinos (CNC), CONALOT, SUNAHIP and Instituto Nacional de Hipódromos (INH) are expected to participate in the conference program and private meetings with delegates.
According to SCCG's market research, Venezuela has around 6 million active gamblers in an established, fast-growing market.
The expo will focus on market entry, regulatory navigation, payments and banking infrastructure and cross-border distribution, alongside networking events and private meetings between operators, suppliers, banking partners and investors. The event will also facilitate direct meetings between delegates and Venezuelan operators, regulators and government officials.
SCCG's LatAm division works with Venezuelan gaming regulators and local operators, relationships the company plans to use to facilitate meetings between international delegates and key stakeholders during the expo.
Venezuela's gaming regulatory framework is divided among three licensing bodies: the Comisión Nacional de Casinos (CNC), which oversees casinos, bingo and slots; CONALOT, which regulates lotteries, raffles and promotions; and SUNAHIP, which covers horse racing and sports betting. Each body issues a single license covering both land-based and online operations within its respective vertical.
The Instituto Nacional de Hipódromos (INH), which is also expected to participate in the expo, operates infrastructure under SUNAHIP's regulatory framework but does not issue gaming licenses or set regulatory policy.
The conference was originally planned to hold the Venezuela Gaming Expo in August 2026, but was postponed following the earthquakes that struck Venezuela.
