Biography
Jackie Johnson was appointed by Governor Katie Hobbs as Director of the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG), joining the Department in February 2023.
As Director, Jackie is dedicated to advancing Arizona’s economic growth and strengthening stakeholder collaboration while protecting public interests and maintaining the integrity of the state’s regulated gaming industry. Under her leadership, the Department of Gaming has enhanced enforcement efforts in collaboration with law
enforcement and prosecutorial agencies, expanded problem gambling resources and implemented robust safety measures for horse racing and unarmed combat sports. The Department has also seen substantial growth in annual Tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund and increased revenue from event wagering privilege fees, which provide critical support for regulatory oversight, public programs and community investments, further driving economic development and benefiting Arizona residents statewide.
