Expansion and restructure: Relax Gaming CPO Tony O'Mahony on showcasing European growth at ICE

Relax Gaming's Chief Product Officer, Tony O'Mahony, speaks with Global Gaming Insider about the benefits of localisation and a C-level restructure at the supplier.

Tony O’Mahony joined Relax Gaming back in August 2025 as the company's new CPO – his track record of senior roles with Casumo, A5 Labs and Gaming Innovation Group made it an eye-catching appointment. January will bring his first ICE conference since taking on the role – we look forward to it here, while reflecting on his and the firm's recent successes. 

ICE returns to Barcelona for another year after a successful Spanish debut in 2025. What do you think made last year's event such a roaring success and has the conference found a new home for years to come?  

It’s always great to be part of ICE Barcelona and it’s one which we look forward to each year. It’s the perfect way to kickstart the year, connect with new and existing clients and showcase to the iGaming world what we have coming up in 2026. 

Barcelona is a beautiful city and to have thousands of likeminded people in one place for those three days makes it even more special. It’s the biggest iGaming show on the calendar and provides us with unmatched visibility and brand awareness. 

We will have plenty of Relax colleagues in attendance, so feel free to pop down to our epic stand to say hello. 

Relax has maintained a strong local presence in Spain for nearly four years now, how much do you think having localised Spanish language products and expertise has helped the company's recent LatAm expansion?  

Our presence in Spain dovetails nicely with our Latin America expansion push. Both the LatAm and European market carry huge significance when it comes to expanding our global reach and both will play key roles in 2026 with some exciting stuff planned.  

Last year saw extensive European expansion and renewal, as well as changes in the C-Suite – of course you were one of those additions. Do you think these developments at the top level have imparted a new impetus within Relax Gaming for the coming year?  

We had a bit of a C-level restructure, which included me joining the company in August. We’re part of a team very hungry to succeed and we plan to work collectively to drive Relax even further forward.  

In terms of our European expansion, we're in a strong position, and our goal is to continue building on that thoughtfully and sustainably to get the best out of our products. 

It was also a big year for the company in Italy, with the Bet365 integration extending your European reach – clearly Bet365’s large existing audience is a draw, but what makes Italy itself a particularly attractive market right now?  

Italy remains a vital market for us and teaming up with a powerful brand like Bet365 gives our content immediate visibility and credibility with a wide audience.  

It’s a partnership that strengthens our footprint in a competitive regulated market, giving us access to Bet365’s established customer base. It also helps reinforce our strategy of extending localised content offerings in competitive jurisdictions.  

What slots innovation do you expect to be a talking point at ICE this year, and what are you particularly excited to share with other conference-goers when you get to Barcelona? 

For us, we are excited to tell people more about our Bonus Reels and Supercharge features.  

Bonus Reels offers potential for operators to enhance their casino by providing an exciting bet option that focuses entirely on getting into Bonus rounds and Super Bonus rounds. 

Then we have Supercharge, a new one-stop menu allowing players to access all buy-in features in one place. This leads to smoother continuity between spins, player customisation and a new way to interact with slots.
