Macau’s leading casino operators have announced expanded parental leave benefits as part of wider efforts to strengthen family-friendly workplace policies in the territory’s hospitality and gaming sector.

Wynn Macau said it will increase paid maternity leave for eligible female team members from 70 days to 90 days. The enhancement applies to employees with at least one year of continuous service and follows the company’s earlier move in 2018 to raise paid paternity leave to 7 days.

According to Wynn, the measure reinforces its commitment to supporting employee well-being and aligns with the Macao SAR Government’s policy direction on family support.

MGM China confirmed similar updates, extending paid maternity leave to 90 days and raising paternity leave from 5 to 7 days. The company said the changes demonstrate continued support for government fertility initiatives and form part of its broader employee care framework, which includes workplace facilities for breastfeeding mothers.

Sands China will also expand paid maternity leave from 70 to 90 days and increase paid paternity leave to 7 days. Sands said the measures strengthen its people-centred approach and help employees balance work and family responsibilities during the transition to parenthood.

Across the companies, the enhanced parental leave benefits are presented as part of their ongoing efforts to support workforce stability, promote employee well-being and contribute to a more sustainable employment environment in Macau’s tourism and gaming industry.
