Richard Dennys has stepped down as CEO of Game Lounge, according to a LinkedIn post in which he announced his departure from the business.

Dennys said the move came after what he described as "an intense and rewarding chapter" at the gambling affiliate, where he had served as CEO for the past two years.

In the post, he said: "Today I have stepped down from my role as CEO of Game Lounge."

Dennys added that, during his time in the position, the business had been repositioned around what he described as its core strengths and had entered additional markets.

He said: "Over the past two years, we've reshaped the business around its core strengths, expanded into new markets and built a strong foundation for the future."

No successor or interim leadership arrangement was disclosed in the post.

Dennys also thanked staff across the business and said the timing was appropriate for him to step back from an executive position.

He said: "This feels like the right moment for me to take a step back and focus on what comes next."

The outgoing CEO said he will now spend time with family and friends while reviewing a limited number of board and advisory roles, as well as possible investment opportunities.

He said: "I'll be spending some time over the coming months with family & friends, while also exploring a small number of opportunities at board and advisory level, alongside potential investments."

The post did not give further detail on the reasons behind the leadership change or on the next steps for Game Lounge's executive structure.

Dennys' statement frames the move as a personal decision following a period in which the business altered its strategic focus and broadened its geographic reach. Beyond that, no additional operational or financial context was provided.

Leadership changes have continued across the wider gambling sector in early 2026. In January, Rank Group said CEO John O'Reilly would retire, with CFO Richard Harris moving into the role on an interim basis while the operator began a formal search for a permanent replacement.
