Betsson Group closed May with two padel sponsorships on two continents: the operator sponsored the fifth edition of the Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1, and the held BNL Italy Major Premier Padel in Rome.

The Buenos Aires tournament was held from May 11 to 17 at the Mary Terán de Weiss Stadium, Arena Parque Roca. The tournament featured 114 matches and drew a record crowd of 16,920 to the semifinal, setting a new world attendance mark for the sport. Broadcasts reached audiences through Disney+, Red Bull TV and YouTube.

Days later, the company turned its attention to Europe, where it sponsored the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel in Rome, running May 31 through June 7. The tournament is one of only four designated Major events on the Premier Padel calendar, meaning it draws the highest-ranked players on the global circuit. 

Beyond on-court presence, Betsson Sport is set to run branded fan activations throughout the week.

Ronni Hartvig, CCO at Betsson Group, said: "Padel continues to grow rapidly across multiple regions, and both Argentina and Italy are important markets for the sport and for Betsson. 

“Through these partnerships, we continue to strengthen our presence within the international padel community while supporting events that bring together fans, players and entertainment. Having supported several tournaments across these markets in recent years, this reflects our long-term commitment to the sport."

The Buenos Aires activation is not a standalone move. Betsson previously sponsored the 2025 edition of the Premier Padel P1 in the Argentinian capital and served as title sponsor of the Summer Pro Padel 2026 in Mar del Plata this past January, where it positioned Argentina as a priority market in Latin America. 

The Rome deal extends a parallel track in Italy, where Betsson Sport has also run campaigns featuring former football internationals and targeted brand-building efforts aimed at the Italian market.

The padel sponsorships form part of a wider sports portfolio that includes the Davis Cup, Club Brugge and the Betsson Greek Cup.
