Betano receives one-month exclusivity for Hacksaw Gaming’s Buenos Aires City launch

Hacksaw Gaming has launched its online casino content with Betano in Buenos Aires City, extending the supplier’s presence in Latin America through the Kaizen Gaming-owned operator.

Betano will serve as Hacksaw Gaming’s exclusive launch partner in the city for an initial one-month period. Its customers will receive access to a selection of the supplier’s slot and instant-win titles.

The agreement expands an existing relationship between the businesses and gives Hacksaw Gaming distribution through an operator already active in Argentina.

Betano entered the country in 2024 and holds the naming rights to Argentina’s top-flight professional football competition through an agreement with the Argentine Football Association.

Hacksaw Gaming Operational CEO, Marcus Cordes, said: “We are pleased to launch in Buenos Aires City alongside Betano.”

The launch adds another supplier to Buenos Aires City’s regulated online gaming market. Synot Games secured supplier registration from the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires, known as LOTBA, in February 2026, reflecting continued content expansion among locally authorized operators.

Online gambling regulation in Argentina is administered at provincial level rather than through a single national licensing system. Buenos Aires City has its own framework, separate from the neighboring Province of Buenos Aires, with LOTBA responsible for authorizing operators and overseeing the local market.

Licensed online operators first went live in the city in December 2021 after LOTBA established its licensing requirements in 2020.

Eleven online gaming agencies are currently active under the city’s regulatory framework, according to the 2026 edition of the International Comparative Legal Guides’ Argentina gambling report.

The regulated sector continues to face competition from offshore platforms. LOTBA Director Jesús Acevedo identified the growth of unauthorized gambling websites as a central concern for the city in May, alongside the wider challenge of directing players towards licensed services.

The Betano rollout follows Hacksaw Gaming’s June entry into Slovenia through Casino.si, the country’s first officially licensed online casino following a government concession awarded in 2025. The supplier has also expanded through launches in Switzerland, Lebanon and Brazil during 2026.

Later today, England will face Argentina in the World Cup semi-final, with betting interest building ahead of one of international football’s most closely watched rivalries. Scottish bettors have so far shown strong support for Argentina, influenced in part by Lionel Messi’s ancestry.

(Come on England!)
