Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and the Detroit Lions National Football League (NFL) franchise have agreed to a five-year partnership which will include the launch of a new Soaring Eagle Sports Bar in the upper concourse of Ford Field.

“We’re really proud to announce the new Soaring Eagle Sports Bar that will be in the upper concourse of one of the bars at Ford Field, and that’s just a cool opportunity to bring our brand, our hospitality (and) entertainment right to Ford Field,” Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort CEO Joseph Nayquonabe said.

The new collaboration also includes exclusive promotions, unique events and special activations for fans of the Lions and guests of Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.

As part of the agreement, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort will also serve as the presenting partner of the Detroit Lions mobile application.

Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort continued with a statement released on its website, having said, “Over the next five years, guests and Lions fans can look forward to… one-of-a-kind opportunities that celebrate the spirit of One Pride and the pride of Michigan.

“This partnership represents more than a collaboration – it’s a commitment to creating memorable moments for fans and communities across the state.”

Also in Michigan, the state’s Gaming Control Board (MGCB) approved DraftKings for a multi-state launch of its online poker platform on July 13, previously determining the operator met all regulatory requirements to conduct such activity.

DraftKings’ online poker platform is currently running through the Bay Mills Indian Community in Michigan, which serves as the state’s operator partner for the iGaming vertical.

Michigan originally joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) in 2022 alongside Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Prior to joining MSIGA, online poker players were only able to compete against one another rather than access games across multiple jurisdictions.
