The appointment comes ahead of a planned renovation of The Cove and further investment across the resort

Chris Evans has joined Atlantis Bahamas as VP of Resort Marketing after holding a senior hospitality and entertainment marketing role with Caesars Entertainment.

Evans announced the move on LinkedIn, stating that he would leave Las Vegas for The Bahamas. Atlantis Bahamas had not issued a separate announcement detailing his responsibilities at the time of publication.

Atlantis Bahamas VP of Resort Marketing, Chris Evans, said: “I’m incredibly excited to join Atlantis Bahamas as the VP of Resort Marketing.”

His background includes more than two decades in marketing, with experience covering hospitality, entertainment, travel, media planning and advertising analytics.

Before becoming Caesars Entertainment VP of Hospitality & Entertainment Marketing, Evans served as the operator’s Senior Director of Global Advertising.

The appointment places Evans within the commercial leadership of Atlantis Paradise Island, the integrated resort on Paradise Island in The Bahamas that combines hotel accommodation, entertainment attractions and a land-based casino. The Atlantis Casino spans approximately 60,000 square feet and includes more than 700 slot machines, 85 gaming tables and private gaming salons.

His move also comes during a period of capital spending at the Brookfield-owned resort. Brookfield completed a $1.93bn refinancing of Atlantis Paradise Island in 2025 and outlined plans for a further $475m of investment over five years.

The program includes a full renovation of The Cove beginning in 2026, alongside upgrades to guestrooms, public areas, pools and dining venues.

More than $260m had already been invested during the preceding five years. Projects included the refurbishment of The Royal’s guestrooms, changes to the casino and the introduction of additional food and beverage venues.

Atlantis Paradise Island has also received industry recognition in recent years. The resort was shortlisted for LatAm & Caribbean Operator of the Year at the 2025 Global Gaming Awards Americas, reflecting its continued presence in the region's integrated resort and casino sector.

The property recorded its highest visitation levels during 2024 and 2025, according to Brookfield’s refinancing announcement.

Evans’ experience marketing casino hospitality and live entertainment in Las Vegas gives Atlantis Bahamas a senior executive familiar with promoting multiple resort revenue streams under a single destination brand.

His appointment follows other changes within the resort’s management structure, including the selection of Vaughn Roberts as COO.

In related appointments news, Marina Bay Sands named Angelita Teo as VP of Attractions, placing the former National Museum of Singapore director in charge of destinations including the ArtScience Museum and SkyPark Observation Deck.
