Teo brings experience from leading the National Museum of Singapore and the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage

Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has appointed Angelita Teo as its new Vice President of Attractions. The hire places her in charge of the integrated resort’s key attractions, including the ArtScience Museum, Digital Light Canvas and SkyPark Observation Deck.

Teo led the National Museum of Singapore for seven years before leaving for Switzerland in 2019 to become Director of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage.

Marina Bay Sands Chief Operating Officer Paul Town commented:  “She brings a rare combination of curatorial prowess, institutional leadership and global perspective, with a proven track record in driving transformation and leading large-scale cultural and heritage projects at both national and international levels.

“Having navigated complex museum ecosystems, international networks and multidisciplinary teams, Angelita also brings the depth of experience and vision to further strengthen the role of our attractions as a cultural bridge between Singapore and the world.”

Teo added: “Joining Marina Bay Sands presents a unique opportunity to combine my passion for culture, museums and meaningful experiences. Singapore has long demonstrated how culture, tourism and world-class experiences can reinforce one another. I am excited to bring my international experience home to contribute to that vision.”

Earlier this year, Las Vegas Sands awarded a contract to construction firm Woh Hup for its new $8bn Marina Bay development. Located adjacent to the existing MBS  property, the development will include a 55-story tower featuring 570 luxury hotel suites, a casino, a 15,000-seat entertainment arena, 200,000 square feet of meeting and convention space and a range of high-end dining options.
