The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has reported the state’s total online sports betting and iGaming activity for June 2026, as adjusted gross receipts (AGR) from both verticals totaled $309.4m, equating to an increase of 20.6%. 

iGaming operations accounted for $289.2m of the state’s total online gambling revenue for June, having risen 28% year-over-year. Online sports betting produced an additional $20.1m of revenue, but decreased 33.9%.

Despite the decrease in AGR, Michigan’s online sports betting handle for June grew 20.9% to $366.1m, although the figure also represents a 20% fall month-over-month. 

Monthly gross receipts for iGaming and online sports betting reached $341.3m during June, equating to an increase of 19.7%. iGaming accounted for just over $301.2m of gross receipts and rose 25.2%, while online sports betting gross receipts decreased 10.1% to $40.1m. 

Operators submitted $62.3m in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan during June, as Detroit’s three commercial casinos submitted an additional $14m in wagering taxes and municipal service fees. Tribal operators also reported $8.4m in payments to governing bodies for June.

How has the state's online sports betting handle fluctuated throughout 2026?

The MGCB also reported the total casino activity of Detroit’s three commercial gaming establishments for June 2026 on July 14, which managed to generate $102.7m of revenue and increase 1.6%. 

Of the revenue reported for June 2026, slot machines and table games accounted for $101.8m, representing an increase of 1.5%. Retail sports betting produced just $837,681 of qualified adjusted gross receipts, but still rose 25.6%. 

MGM Grand Detroit led all retail properties in the city with $47.6m of slot machine and table game revenue but witnessed a fall of 1.7%. 

MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown generated slot machine and table game revenues of $31.8m and $22.4m, respectively, equating to increases of 3.9% and 5.2%.
