The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) has reported the state’s total casino activity for July 2026 – representing the first month of fiscal year 2027 for regulators – as commercial operators increased revenue 5% to $176.8m.

The MGC reported a total slot machine revenue increase of 5% as well to $153.5m, while table game revenue in Missouri climbed 7% to $23.2m. Ameristar St. Charles generated the most revenue for both verticals during July, reporting $22.8m from slots and $4.3m from table games.

In a not-so-shocking result based on such figures, Ameristar St. Charles led all commercial operators in Missouri with just over $27.1m of casino revenue, equating to growth of 6% for the Boyd Gaming-owned property.

River City Casino accounted for $24.4m of revenue for July and increased 10%, followed by Hollywood Casino which grew revenue 5% to $23.3m. Ameristar Kansas City and Harrah’s Kansas City reported July casino revenues of $18.7m and $15.6m, respectively, representing an increase of 7% for both properties.

Missouri Casino Revenue History - July

Has the state managed to maintain casino revenue performance following the introduction of sports betting?

Horseshoe St. Louis managed to increase casino revenue by 1% to just over $14.6m, and was trailed closely by Argosy Casino which accounted for $14.5m and grew 6%.

Bally’s Kansas City was the only Missouri casino to witness a decrease in revenue year-over-year, falling 1% to $10.9m during the monthly period. Isle of Capri Boonville generated $8.4m of revenue and rose 1%, while Century Casino Cape reported $6.2m and increased 6%.

Century Caruthersville managed to produce $5.4m of casino revenue for growth of 5%, as St. Jo Frontier accounted for $4.4m and increased 1%. Capping off Missouri’s commercial revenue for July was Mark Twain Casino, which generated $3.3m and increased 12%.

In late July, Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway defended the state's voter ID law as a federal legal challenge to a similar Indiana statute began to move forward.

Hanaway stated she took a legal interest in the Indiana case because a federal challenge to voter ID laws in other jurisdictions poses a direct threat to Missouri's own statute, recently upheld as constitutional by the state’s Supreme Court.
