The Instituto Provincial de Juegos de Azar de Jujuy (Inprojuy) has reinforced its responsible gambling campaign in Argentina's Jujuy Province, focusing on preventing minors from accessing betting platforms as the use of digital gambling services grows.
The regulator identified Casino MAC Group and BPlay as the only operators authorized to offer online gambling in Jujuy, with both subject to the regulator's oversight and security and identity verification requirements.
It also urged users to avoid platforms operating outside the provincial framework, and reminded them that authorized platforms can be identified through the bet.ar main, while unauthorized sites may not provide the same safeguards. Inprojuy takes down between 40 and 50 illegal platforms each month, although operators can evade enforcement by changing domains or hosting their services abroad.
Inprojuy called on families to monitor minors' access to betting platforms and talk openly about the risks of gambling. It also warned against treating betting as a source of income or a way to solve financial problems.
The regulator also highlighted early detection and family support in addressing problem gambling behavior, alongside access to professional guidance and support services.
Inprojuy is an autarkic provincial body responsible for regulating and overseeing gambling activity in Jujuy. In May, the province introduced a system to block people listed on its child support defaulters registry from entering casinos and gaming halls.
The measure was implemented through an agreement between provincial justice authorities and Inprojuy and followed similar restrictions in Buenos Aires, Salta and San Juan.
