USA Today Sports has launched a paid fantasy football platform ahead of the 2026 NFL season, bringing its fantasy products and coverage into a new subscription service.
The platform allows users to sync their leagues and access matchup odds, lineup recommendations and waiver wire information based on their rosters. It also includes player rankings, projections, statistical data and side-by-side comparisons for weekly lineup decisions.
Fantasy football news, player updates, injury reports, transactions, statistics, league leaders and team information will remain available to all users through the platform.
Chris Thomas, Executive Editor of Sports at USA Today Network said: “Our audience of 38 million sports fans turn to USA Today Sports for trusted coverage, expert insight and analysis.
“With USA Today Sports Fantasy, we’re bringing our expertise together with advanced projections and decision-making tools in one seamless experience, giving subscribers a competitive advantage and a smarter way to manage their teams. This new destination is an important first step in building a broader fantasy experience that will evolve to include the sports our fans want.”
Existing subscribers to The Huddle, USA Today Sports' previous fantasy football service, will transition to USA Today Sports Fantasy after the 2026-2027 football season. They will also receive complimentary access to the new platform for the current season starting in October.
The launch follows FanDuel's decision to shut down FanDuel Picks, its peer-to-peer fantasy product launched in 2025. FanDuel discontinued the service in May and said it would reallocate resources to other areas of its business.
The company operates the USA Today Network in the US and Newsquest in the UK, alongside its LocaliQ digital marketing business
