Casino revenue in Illinois climbs 15% to $192.7m during July

The Illinois Gaming Board has released the state’s total casino activity for July 2026, as the 17 operators which report to the regulator produced $192.7m of revenue, representing an increase of 15%. 

Revenue stemming from electronic gaming devices (EGDs) totaled just over $147.2m during July, equating to growth of 15.4%. Table games accounted for an additional $45.4m of revenue, having increased 13.8%. 

Rivers Casino once again led all commercial operators in Illinois with $46.7m of revenue, increasing 6% year-over-year. Wind Creek Chicago increased July revenue 5.3% for a total of $19.7m. 

Hollywood Casino Aurora and Hard Rock Casino Rockford generated July 2026 revenues of $17.4m and $13.1m, respectively, having increased 84.4% and 3%. Bally’s Chicago produced nearly $13.1m of revenue for July and rose 24.4%. 

Full House Resorts managed to drive $12.4m of revenue from its Illinois operations during July, representing growth of 15.1%. Hollywood Casino Joliet increased revenue by a significant 196% to $12.2m, while Grand Victoria Casino accounted for $12m but decreased 2.5%. 

Harrah’s Joliet Casino & Hotel produced $9.3m of revenue and decreased 12.8%, followed by DraftKings at Casino Queen’s $7m revenue for July which equates to a loss of 8.8%. 

Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel and Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino reported July 2026 revenues of $6.1m and $5.9m, respectively, representing increases of 3.3% and 14.3%. Harrah’s Metropolis Casino produced $5m of revenue for July and rose 2.7%. 

The Danville Development in Illinois managed to generate $3.9m of revenue and grow 21.4%, while Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort increased revenue 9.3% to $3.2m. Argosy Casino Alton accounted for nearly $3.1m of revenue in Illinois and rose 0.6%. 

On August 10, Bally's suspended construction on much of the non-gaming portion of its permanent Chicago casino development as a dispute with city officials over video gaming terminals threatens to reshape the project's timeline.

Around 1,500 union workers are reportedly affected by the pause, although construction of the casino itself is continuing and remains on track for an early 2027 opening.
