Scientific Games has announced a new deal with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), with the supplier set to distribute new technology to retailers across the nation.
More specifically, Scientific Games’ Wave retailer point-of-sale terminals, PlayCentral self-service kiosks and retailer terminal software are now set for installation at 5,000 lottery retailers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba – with the Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories included as WCLC associate members.
Speaking on this development was WCLC CEO Chris Santschi, who said: "As we continue to evolve and modernize our lottery operations, strategic investments at retail play a key role in delivering relevant products and experiences for our players while maximizing value for the governments and communities we serve.
"We look forward to working with Scientific Games to bring next-generation retail systems and software to our network, strengthening retail performance, enhancing player engagement, and supporting the long-term sustainability of lottery revenues across the region."
For Scientific Games, this latest announcement falls in the wake of news that current CEO Patrick McHugh would be stepping down from next month, with Kevin Schneider set to step into the role on an interim basis.

Elsewhere recently, Scientific Games also announced a new agreement with Iowa Lottery for the enhancement of its scratch game portfolio.
