Bingoal announced the unexpected death of Joeri Impens, the company's owner and CEO, in a statement shared by the company. 

Impens had led Bingoal for many years, continuing the business built by his father and overseeing a period of growth and expansion at the company.

In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Bingoal described Impens as an ambitious and pragmatic leader who remained closely involved in the company's daily operations and maintained direct relationships with staff. 

The company said he built lasting relationships both within Bingoal and across the wider industry over the course of his career.

Bingoal announced the company will continue operating as a family business, with Impens' son Quentin carrying forward his father's legacy and the entrepreneurial approach that shaped the company under his leadership.

A greeting for family and friends is scheduled for September 2 at 9:40 am at the Basiliek Sint-Servaas in Grimbergen, followed by a ceremony at the same location at 10 am.

Bingoal was also recently nominated for the Online Casino of the Year 2026 at the Global Gaming Awards EMEA 2026. The operator was included in the shortlist alongside Betsson, WinBet, BetMGM, Betano, PokerStars, Betinia, NetBet, bet365 and Starcasino.

Bingoal’s Dutch licence has recently been renewed by the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) for five years.
