Nevada: July gaming revenue increases 2.1% to $1.39bn, Las Vegas Strip totals $776.3m

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for July 2026, as commercial casino and sports betting operators combined to generate nearly $1.39bn of revenue, representing an increase of 2.1%. 

The Clark County area managed to grow revenue by 1.5% during the monthly period, leading all Nevada regions with $1.17bn. Las Vegas Strip revenue took a positive turn after reporting a 1.4% year-over-year decrease for June, rising by 3.6% during July for a total of $776.3m. 

Gaming revenue from the Downtown Las Vegas area failed to replicate similar success, however, decreasing 8.6% to $68.5m. North Las Vegas and Laughlin reported July increases of 3.4% and 0.1%, respectively, for revenues of $25.5m and $41m. 

The Boulder Strip area reported a gaming revenue decrease of 2.5% to $82.7m for July, while Mesquite accounted for $15.1m but fell 0.5%. The Carson Valley area managed to increase gaming revenue by 1.1% for June, totaling just over $12.5m. 

Nevada’s Washoe County area grew revenue 2.9% during the monthly period to $105.8m, led by Reno operations which drove $76.9m and increased 1%. Sparks generated $17.2m of Nevada’s July gaming revenue and increased 9.5%, while North Lake Tahoe reported a 5.7% decrease to $2.9m. 

South Lake Tahoe accounted for $39.6m of gaming revenue for July and rose 5.1%, followed by Elko County which produced $36.8m and increased 13.5%. Wendover generated $24.4m of the county’s total revenue for growth of 15.1%. 

According to the NGCB, slot machine revenue in Nevada increased 0.6% to $944.7m, while the state’s table game revenue rose 5.4% to $443.1m. Mobile sports betting produced $37.3m of July revenue for an increase of 23%, while race book parimutuel revenue fell 7.5% to $2.1m. 

Multi-denomination slot machines drove the most revenue for the vertical during July, accounting for $770.7m and increasing 7%. For table games, baccarat produced $116.6m of revenue and grew 1.2%, while twenty-one rose 27.4% to $115.6m. 

On August 24, criminal charges against Las Vegas professional gambler William West Roberts were dismissed after he was accused of operating a multimillion-dollar illegal bookmaking operation. 

Roberts was arrested in April and had been charged with operating a gaming establishment without a valid license, accepting compensation for bets without a gaming license and unlawfully accepting wagers from a Nevada resident.
