Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming unveiled new initiatives, research partnerships and education resources for its PlayersEdge program to celebrate the return of Responsible Gambling Education Month (RGEM) this September.

"Responsible gambling is about empowering players, team members and guests with knowledge, research and support so they can make informed choices that work for them," Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming VP of Global Social Responsibility Paul Pellizzari said.

"Through PlayersEdge, we continue to invest in innovative education, research and training initiatives that help advance positive play while strengthening our ability to support guests who may need assistance."

PlayersEdge utilizes education, team member training, research and intervention resources to ensure guests practice healthy gambling habits and support those who may be at risk.

RGEM is currently led by the American Gaming Association (AGA) to help promote gambling literacy, evaluate team member training and increase awareness of problem gambling resources.

As part of its expanded efforts, Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming will introduce the new “Chance” campaign, which helps players “better understand one of gambling's most fundamental concepts: chance itself.”

Hard Rock also debuted the Almond Digital Health application for players at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, representing a digital extension of the PlayersEdge program. The debut allowed users to experience the anonymous platform, designed to support healthier gambling behaviors and connect players with additional resources.

Five Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming properties will undergo research to better understand the perspectives of casino supervisors and managers in collaboration with Dr. Michael Wohl at Carleton University.

In addition to its extended RG efforts, the operator’s Hard Rock Bet vertical formed a new strategic partnership with the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) and The Fort pickleball venue on August 12 to serve as the official sports betting partner of the APP Tour.

The Fort represents the official headquarters of APP – which owns and operates the APP Tour – while Hard Rock Bet will also serve as presenter of the venue’s headline social events and marquee pickleball tournaments.
