PGA of America has appointed Choctaw Casinos & Resorts as the official casino resort and community partner of the 2027 PGA Championship, which will also represent the tournament’s 100th anniversary.
“The enthusiasm surrounding the 2027 PGA Championship continues to exceed every expectation, with Championship Rounds and weekly tickets already sold out and unprecedented demand in our hospitality offerings,” PGA Championship Director Jason Mengel said.
“Choctaw Casinos & Resorts shares our commitment to creating memorable experiences, making them an outstanding community partner as we prepare to welcome the first men’s major championship in Texas in more than five decades. Choctaw’s incredible support and presence throughout Championship week will further elevate what promises to be a landmark event for all attendees and the North Texas community.”
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts will introduce the “Choctaw Ice House” as part of its collaboration with PGA of America, featuring branded gifts and interactive activities for spectators.
The major golf tournament will take place from May 20-23 at PGA Frisco, marking the first time in over six decades the PGA Championship event has returned to the north Texas region.
The operator is also set to launch an interactive space featuring casino-themed games, giveaways and prizes, as well as promote the event through activities held in the months leading up to the 2027 PGA Championship.
Choctaw Nation Senior Executive Officer Heidi Grant also spoke on the new collaboration, having said, “The 2027 PGA Championship represents a historic opportunity for the state of Texas, and we’re proud to partner with the PGA of America to help deliver an unforgettable experience for golf fans.
“Whether guests are enjoying premium hospitality inside the Choctaw Ice House or interacting with our activations throughout the grounds, we look forward to showcasing the hospitality and entertainment experiences that define the Choctaw brand while celebrating this historic Championship.”
Choctaw Nation recently selected Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) to lead the $140m expansion and renovation of its Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola property, which is expected to be completed during Q3 2026.
TPC’s subsidiary Tutor Perini Building Corp. first began the preconstruction phase in 2025, while contract value will be added to the organization’s backlog incrementally as design milestones and subsequent construction phases are achieved.
