Lotería Chaqueña, the provincial gaming operator, has signed two agreements to fund infrastructure projects in Chaco province.
Both accords were signed by Governor Leandro Zdero alongside the lottery's President, Lucas Apud Masín.
In La Verde, the agreement covers the rehabilitation of a sports ground in the Malvinas neighborhood, which is currently in poor condition, including cracks, potholes and concrete deterioration.
The project also includes replacing the perimeter fencing and installing LED lighting to improve security conditions and extend the hours the site can be used. Once complete, the ground will be used for training sessions, physical education classes, sports events and community activities organized by the Municipality.
In Quitilipi, the Lottery will fund a full renovation of the Asociación Española's headquarters, part of what Lotería Chaqueña described as its ongoing support for institutions involved in the social and cultural life of local communities.
The work includes replacing floors and wall coverings, installing new ceilings, windows and doors, and repairing bathrooms along with electrical and plumbing systems.
Apud Masín said: “We have a special commitment at Lotería Chaqueña to all the public-benefit organizations in the province that we have been working with, and in this particular case, we are able to support this association.”
He added that the agreement will allow the association to carry out renovations that had long been sought by the community.
Lotería Chaqueña has previously signed similar agreements with municipalities and civic organizations across the province as part of its community funding activities. Recently, the Lottery agreed to fund the first phase of an accommodation facility being built by the Asociación de Agentes y Subagentes in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña.
The project includes enclosure work and the completion of dormitories for ticket agents traveling from across the province to Sáenz Peña for medical care or administrative procedures.
Funding will be separated into four stages as construction progresses and contractual requirements are met.
