Professional networking company Intro.community has appointed a board featuring executives from iGaming, sports media and banking as it prepares to expand access to its platform this autumn.

David Flynn has joined as Chairman, bringing board and executive experience from businesses including LCKY Group, Microgaming, NYX Gaming Group and Solance.

Former Kindred Group CEO Britt Boeskov has also joined the board. She currently holds positions with Better Collective, Mindway AI, Gaming1 and MAG Interactive.

The remaining appointments are Danny Keens, formerly SVP of Sports and Media Partnerships at Twitter, and Erik M. Throndsen, a recently retired Regional Director at SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge. Keens’ earlier media experience includes roles at ESPN and 60 Minutes.

Intro said it has secured 26 investors across 11 countries, spanning the iGaming sector and Nordic investment community. Financial terms and the identities of all participating investors were not disclosed.

The platform is designed to facilitate professional introductions through verified relationships. Both participants must confirm how they know each other before the connection can be used, while artificial intelligence identifies potential routes between members.

Commenting on the development, David Flynn stated: "Intro has already proven that warm introductions work best for business and this is how we have grown our investor base at such an early stage. We anticipate that this will only continue to rapidly grow as we look to launch more extensively later in the year.

“Everyone in business knows that a warm introduction works better than a cold approach, yet nobody had built a system that produced them. Therefore, we are creating an exclusive eco-system which can help support businesses achieve commercial success by having someone who will genuinely vouch for them. Importantly, every relationship carries how the two people actually know each other, and both must confirm it.”

Founder and CEO Øyvind Kvamme-Vik added: "As AI floods the digital world with automated spam, real human trust becomes the ultimate premium.

"You cannot reach anyone here unless somebody vouches for you. AI maps the route, but humans open the door. That constraint is the product."

The company is targeting founders, investors, commercial executives and recruiters, estimating that these groups represent a global audience of approximately 50 million people.

Version two of the network has been operating with a controlled group since August. Intro plans to open it to a wider audience on an invite-only basis during the autumn, although it has not announced a specific launch date.
