TQJ (Todos Querem Jogar) released its first campaign content featuring new brand ambassador Ratinho.
Ratinho is a particularly popular television personality in the country, with a long-running presence in Brazilian media.
The partnership's opening message centers on combating illegal betting platforms and promoting a responsible, secure and regulated betting market, with the campaign framing conscious betting choices as starting with selecting licensed platforms committed to consumer protection.
"Companies that operate within regulation take on clear responsibilities for consumer protection, operational integrity and sector development. This is an agenda that needs to be treated seriously," said TQJ CEO Fernando Justus Fischer.
TQJ Marketing Director Mariana Kannebley echoed that thought, stating: “We believe in the power of communication to broaden public awareness. Having Ratinho with us at this moment is an opportunity to convey an important message to more Brazilians, reinforcing that entertainment and responsibility must go hand in hand.”
TQJ described the campaign as the first step in a partnership reinforcing one of its central commitments, contributing to a safer, more transparent and responsible betting market, and said it will continue focusing on governance, compliance, consumer protection and responsible gambling.
The partnership comes amid regulatory debate that could directly affect it, due to the Brazilian Senate's Science and Technology Committee approving a legislation that would substantially tighten the country's regulated betting framework, including restrictions on advertising, sponsorship and certain online casino products.
“We continue to operate with a focus on governance, compliance, consumer protection, and responsible gaming,” concluded TQJ.
Brazil's President Lula told a meeting on the impact of online betting that regulation has failed to contain its harms
