Bally’s Corporation CFO & EVP Mira Mircheva has notified the operator of her intentions to step down from the roles, effective September 4, with Bally’s President George Papanier set to take over the position on an interim basis.
Mircheva will still remain with Bally’s through September 30 to ensure a seamless leadership transition, having originally been appointed as CFO & EVP during May 2025.
Along with CFO responsibilities, Papanier will retain his position as Bally’s President and continue to serve as a member of the operator’s Board of Directors. Bally’s also confirmed the search to identify a permanent CFO has already commenced.
“On behalf of the entire Board and executive management team, I want to thank Mira for her dedication to Bally's and we wish her great success going forward,” Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves said.
“Having spent more than two decades in key operating and financial leadership roles at Bally’s, George has been instrumental in developing our business model, asset portfolio and growth strategy. He steps into the interim role supported by an experienced finance organization and I am confident that our reporting, controls and capital markets work will continue without disruption.”
Papanier has served as President of Bally’s land-based casino operations since October 2021, originally joining the operator in 2004 as COO. He went on to maintain the President and CEO titles from February 2011 to October 2021, as well as previously served as Interim CFO during 2023.
On August 14, Bally’s unveiled its financial results for Q2 and H1 2026, as revenue during both periods managed to increase year-over-year, assisted by strong performances from the operator’s Intralot B2B and B2C businesses.
For Q2 2026, revenue increased 20.5% to $792.2m, led by Bally’s casinos & resorts segment which accounted for just over $401m and rose 2%.
During the first-half period of 2026, Bally’s net revenue increased 22% to $1.55bn, with the operator’s casinos & resorts segment once again leading the way after generating $780.7m and rising 2.1%.
