Daniele Perrone has joined Super Technologies as Market Integrity & Regulatory Principal, part of the company's Global Affairs team.
Announcing the move, Perrone described it as moving to "the next side of the table" within the same sector, shifting from association work to regulatory engagement and combating the black market from within an operator.
Perrone spent almost nine years at the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) as Senior Regulatory Affairs and Policy Advisor, based in Brussels.
His responsibilities there included contributing to the coordination of EGBA's Legal Committee and expert working groups, monitoring EU and national regulatory developments affecting the gambling sector, representing EGBA in meetings with EU institutions and national regulators, drafting consultation responses and legal position papers, analyzing CJEU rulings relevant to gambling and facilitating cross-border regulatory dialogue among EGBA members.
Before EGBA, Perrone worked as a Blue Book Trainee in Supervision and Enforcement at the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), where he contributed to prior-check notifications, drafted opinions and replies on data protection matters and researched specific legal issues in the field.
He also worked as a Policy Advisor at the European Small Business Alliance (ESBA), monitoring EU institutions on Digital Single Market developments and supporting media relations and lobbying efforts.
The hire follows Super Technologies' recent appointment of Arkadiusz Cyman as Government Affairs Manager for the Central and Eastern Europe region, part of a broader build-out of the company's regulatory and government affairs functions.
