The Buenos Aires Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC) has awarded the Casino Sasso annex contract in Mar del Plata to a joint venture between hospitality workers' union UTHGRA and Yukon Technology.
The decision covers the supply and maintenance of electronic gaming machines, online monitoring, casino renovations and related services for 20 years.
The award forms part of a broader provincial effort to replace successive extensions of older casino-service contracts. In May, IPLyC awarded Boldt the gaming-machine and renovation work at the Hermitage annex in Mar del Plata and the casinos in Miramar and Tandil.
The regulator said at the time that online betting had reduced visits to physical casino rooms, creating a case for technological upgrades and new investment.
The Sasso decision resolves another part of the 2025 procurement. UTHGRA-Yukon was the sole applicant for that property when bids opened.
A preliminary technical evaluation assigned it 64 points in November 2025, after which IPLyC admitted the venture to the economic stage. It submitted an initial request for 65.9% of the room's monthly gaming-machine profitability, then reduced the proposed share to 61% after the tender committee sought a better offer.
The committee ultimately awarded 78.4 points and recommended the contract. Under the resolution, the consortium receives 61% of monthly profitability from the electronic machines.
That measure is distinct from gross gaming revenue or total casino turnover and the document supplies no projected annual cash value for the award.
The resolution also declares the tender unsuccessful for the casinos in Mar de Ajó, Sierra de la Ventana and Necochea because they received no offers. Their status leaves part of the province's wider modernization program unresolved, while the separate Hermitage, Miramar and Tandil awards already have named suppliers.
IPLyC approved the venture's security plan but left the number of police officers and other operating details for the contract.
The agreement must set out commitments against illegal gambling and provisions for promotional tickets, complimentary services and a player club.
The 20-year term begins on a date to be specified when the contract is signed and IPLyC may extend it by one year. The resolution records an award, without saying the contract has been executed or operations have changed hands.
In October 2025, preliminary technical scores for the province's casino tender showed how bidders for the Hermitage, Miramar and Tandil properties progressed toward their economic evaluations. The Sasso contract comes from a separate group of venues under the same wider process.
The original 2025 tender covered seven provincial casino venues, including Hotel Sasso
