Brightstar Lottery has secured exclusive global lottery licensing rights to the Pan Am brand under a five-year agreement with Pan American World Airways.
The supplier plans to develop and distribute Pan Am-themed instant tickets, draw-based products and iLottery games. The agreement covers retail and digital channels, giving Brightstar scope to offer branded products to lottery customers across multiple markets.
Travel is also central to the proposed promotions. Brightstar said it will draw on Pan Am’s trip-planning and concierge services to provide customized travel packages for lottery players and winners of second-chance promotions. These could include VIP access and itineraries tailored to different destinations and budgets, according to the announcement.
Commenting on the new deal, Pan Am Global Holdings CEO Craig Carter stated: "Pan Am is one of the most recognizable names in travel, and we're excited to partner with Brightstar to bring our brand to the lottery category.
"Through this partnership, players will have new opportunities to engage with the Pan Am brand through games and promotions inspired by our legacy of connecting people, places and cultures around the world."
Matthew Whalen, Brightstar SVP of Global Instant Ticket Services, added: "Pan Am is a globally recognized brand that has inspired generations to see the world, and Brightstar is excited to translate that enduring legacy into compelling experiences for lottery players to enjoy.
"Through this partnership, players will have access to engaging lottery offerings and unique second-chance promotions inspired by the Pan Am brand, including customized travel packages, VIP access and white-glove journeys tailored to a range of destinations and budgets."
The deal continues Brightstar’s use of third-party intellectual property in lottery games. In July, the company extended its exclusive Ghostbusters license with Sony Pictures for another five years, covering omnichannel game development worldwide.
Brightstar’s Ghostbusters licensing partnership has produced more than 25 games across over 20 lotteries
