What gap in the prediction market space did you identify that led you to create OpinionKings?

I saw that prediction markets were growing rapidly, but most platforms were focused mainly on trading. They were missing the social side of the experience.

People already discuss politics, sports, finance and world events on platforms like X, YouTube and Reddit, but they often have to go somewhere else to act on their predictions.

That inspired me to build OpinionKings, where social media and prediction markets come together. My vision is to create a platform where people can share opinions, build communities, and participate in markets all in one place.

How do creators monetise their communities on OpinionKings, and what incentives do you offer them to build their audiences on the platform?

We believe creators will play a major role in the future of prediction markets. Our goal is to help creators turn their knowledge, content and communities into meaningful business opportunities.

We are exploring monetisation through creator partnerships, referral programmes and revenue-sharing opportunities, where permitted by regulation.

Beyond monetisation, creators can build their own audiences, engage directly with followers and establish a public track record of their predictions. We want creators to grow alongside OpinionKings.

What makes creator-led prediction markets more engaging or valuable for users than simply accessing a market directly?

People connect with people, not just numbers. For example, someone might see a market showing a 60% probability of an event happening, but that number alone doesn't explain the reasoning behind it.

A creator can explain their perspective, share research and start a discussion. Users can then form their own opinions and participate in the market.

That's what makes OpinionKings different. We're combining information, entertainment, community and trading into one experience.

How do you ensure that creator opinions and market discussions remain credible and transparent, particularly around politically sensitive or financially significant events?

Transparency is extremely important to us. We want users to understand the difference between someone's opinion and verified information.

Our approach is to build features that show creators' historical prediction performance, encourage different viewpoints and make market information accessible. We also recognise the importance of content moderation, clear disclosures and preventing misleading information or manipulation.

Ultimately, we want OpinionKings to be a place where users can make informed decisions rather than blindly following someone else's predictions.

Prediction markets are attracting significant attention globally. How do you see OpinionKings positioning itself against larger and more established players in the sector?

I believe the prediction market industry is still in its early stages, and there is tremendous room for innovation.

Companies like Kalshi and Polymarket have done a great job bringing prediction markets into the mainstream. But our approach is different. We are building a social-first prediction market experience, with creators and communities at the centre.

Rather than competing only on the number of markets or trading volume, we want to focus on user engagement, community growth and making prediction markets accessible to everyday users. Our long-term vision is to build one of the largest social communities around prediction markets.

Regulation is becoming an increasingly important issue for prediction market platforms. How is OpinionKings approaching regulatory compliance across the markets where you plan to operate?

We are taking a compliance-first approach. Our current platform operates using virtual money, allowing users to experience prediction markets without risking real funds.

As we prepare for real-money trading, we are working toward partnerships with regulated exchanges and clearing infrastructure providers. We are also focusing on customer verification, anti-money-laundering requirements, geolocation, and other necessary compliance measures.

Our goal is to launch real-money trading in early 2027, subject to the required regulatory and operational approvals. We believe regulatory clarity will ultimately help responsible companies like OpinionKings grow.

How is OpinionKings monitoring state-by-state prediction market legal cases like Nevada, New York, etc.?

We are closely following legal developments across different states, particularly Nevada, New York and New Jersey.

There is an ongoing debate about how prediction markets should be regulated at the federal and state levels, especially sports-related contracts. We are monitoring court decisions, CFTC developments and guidance from our legal and compliance advisers.

Our strategy is not dependent entirely on sports markets. We also see major opportunities in economics, finance, business, technology and other real-world events. We believe greater regulatory clarity will help us understand where and how we can expand responsibly.

What has been the response to the iOS launch so far, and what are your expectations for user growth over the next 12 months?

The response to our iOS launch has been encouraging. We launched OpinionKings to introduce a different way of experiencing prediction markets, combining short-form content, social interactions and virtual trading.

Our initial focus has been on improving the product, learning from early users and building a strong foundation for growth. Over the next 12 months, we plan to focus heavily on creator partnerships, community growth, user engagement, and preparing for real-money trading.

Our ambition is to scale to hundreds of thousands of users as we expand, but we want to build sustainable engagement rather than focus only on downloads. I believe we're still at the very beginning of a much bigger opportunity.
