Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported the state's total casino activity throughout December 2025, as revenue generated by commercial gaming establishments was $159.8m, representing a decrease of 2.6%.
Despite reporting the highest revenue of any Maryland property throughout December 2025 with nearly $68.4m, MGM National Harbor casino revenue fell 7.2%. Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland generated $58.8m of revenue for the monthly period, second only to MGM National Harbor, but witnessed a decrease of 0.6% year-over-year.
Only Horseshoe Casino Baltimore and Rocky Gap Casino managed to produce December 2025 revenue increases, having risen 12.2% and 1.4%, respectively, for totals of $14.9m and $4m.
Hollywood Casino Perryville reported $6.9m of December 2025 casino revenue for a 2.1% decrease from the prior year period, while Ocean Downs Casino generated just over $6.8m but fell 3.3%.
Throughout the first six months of fiscal year (FY) 2026, Maryland casino revenue has reached $968.1m, equating to a fall of 1.8% from FY2025. Maryland's commercial gaming properties contributed almost $67.9m to the state's Education Trust Fund for December 2025, having decreased 2.8% year-over-year.
Maryland casino revenue also supports the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland's horse racing industry and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
On December 10, Maryland Lottery and Gaming reported the state's online and retail sports wagering results for November 2025, as operators combined to generate a 21.3% increase in revenue for a total of just over $95.4m.
Online sports betting operations accounted for the vast majority of November revenue, generating $93.3m and increasing 21.5%. Retail sports betting managed to produce an additional $1.5m of revenue for November, representing a 10.5% increase year-over-year.
