The Alliance believes Paysafe’s addition strengthens its ability to advocate for “sensible frameworks” and the economic value of social plus games
SGLA also recently submitted testimony to advocate for the regulation of social plus games in Indiana and Maine

Paysafe has officially joined the Social Gaming Leadership Alliance (SGLA) as the organization's newest partner and will help to advocate for the regulation and advancement of social plus games.

“Paysafe is proud to join the Social Gaming Leadership Alliance and support its work promoting safe, responsible and innovative Social Plus games,” Paysafe Global Gaming President Zak Cutler said.

“As a global payments leader, we are committed to providing secure and reliable solutions that enhance player experiences while protecting the integrity of the gaming ecosystem.”

The SGLA looks to bring together operators which share a similar commitment to “responsible innovation, consumer protections and appropriate oversight that recognizes the unique entertainment value of social plus games.”

The global payments platform now joins fellow SGLA partners in advocating for social plus games, including VGW, PlayStudios, Yellow Social Interactive, ARB Interactive, Nuvei and B-Two Operations.

“Paysafe’s global payments experience strongly aligns with SGLA’s commitment to player protections and industry integrity,” SGLA Managing Director Sean Ostrow said.

“The company’s technical capabilities, industry perspective and significant US footprint will meaningfully support our work with policymakers and stakeholders.”

SGLA also believes Paysafe’s addition will help strengthen its ability to advocate for "sensible frameworks,” highlight the economic and entertainment value of social plus games and support US residents who currently partake in the offering.

The Alliance has also spent much of January 2026 submitting testimony related to social plus game regulation in Maine and Indiana, proposing frameworks which hope to offer economic benefits to both jurisdictions.

According to the SGLA, partner operators of the Alliance work to ensure all social plus game offerings include age and identity verification, responsible social gameplay tools, geolocation and the “secure handling” of consumer data.
