Appointment brings over five years of LatAm iGaming experience into Pixbet’s casino operations

Pixbet, a Brazil-based sports betting and online gaming operator, has appointed Victor Santiago Torvão as Casino Manager.

Torvão joins the operator from PicPay, where he served as a Product Manager. His move into the role marks a transition from fintech into the iGaming sector, where he has accumulated more than five years of experience across Latin America.

In his new position, Torvão is expected to oversee Pixbet’s casino vertical, including product development, player engagement and retention strategies. The appointment comes as operators in Brazil continue to expand their online gaming offerings ahead of regulatory developments in the market.

Pixbet operates in Brazil’s sports betting and online gaming sector, with a focus on digital channels. The addition of a Casino Manager reflects a broader trend among operators in the region to strengthen internal product capabilities as competition increases.

The Brazilian market has seen sustained growth in online betting activity, supported by high levels of mobile adoption and increased consumer engagement with digital payment platforms.

Operators have responded by investing in casino products alongside sportsbook offerings, with a focus on localized content and user experience.

Torvão confirmed the appointment in a LinkedIn post, stating: "I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new role as Casino Manager PixBet."

The role places him within Pixbet’s operational structure at a time when the operator is navigating a shifting regulatory and commercial environment in Brazil.

Pixbet has previously faced scrutiny in Brazil following its involvement in a sponsorship dispute linked to a broader investigation.

Financial records from a congressional inquiry into social security fraud referenced a BR4m ($742,000) payment connected to legal representation in a dispute involving football club Corinthians. The case highlighted increased regulatory and political attention on betting sponsorships in Brazilian football.
