Maryland's six casinos generated $162.06m in gaming revenue during October 2025, according to new figures from the Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Agency. The result represents a 1.0% year-on-year increase and marks another month of steady but moderate growth for the state's gaming sector.

State contributions rose in parallel, reaching $69.58m, an increase of 1.5%. The Education Trust Fund received $50.16m, up 1.4%. Revenues also continued to support local communities, the horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.

Performance varied across individual properties. MGM National Harbor reported $67.9m, a 1.9% decline, while Live! Casino & Hotel posted $59.65m, a 1.7% increase.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore recorded one of its strongest monthly uplifts in recent years, climbing 12.7% to $15.51m. Ocean Downs Casino grew 11.1% to $8.15m, while Hollywood Casino Perryville declined 10.5% to $6.45m.

Rocky Gap Casino Resort ended the month largely flat, rising 0.7% to $4.40m.

Despite the improvement in October, the broader fiscal picture shows a slowdown. For the first four months of Fiscal Year 2026, statewide casino revenue totaled $649.52m, a 2.1% decline. Contributions to the state during the same period fell 1.4% to $279.14m.

Earlier this month, prediction market operator Kalshi advanced its appeal in the Fourth Circuit after Maryland became the only U.S. state to deny its request for a preliminary injunction related to sports-based prediction contracts.

The dispute highlights ongoing tensions between state-level gaming rules and federally regulated exchange platforms at a time when Maryland's gaming revenue trends remain closely watched.

The outcome of the appeal could influence future regulatory decisions affecting digital wagering operators in Maryland, adding another dimension to the state's gaming sector as it enters the latter half of FY 2026.
