Accel Entertainment has reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, having set new records in net revenue and adjusted EBITDA, as revenue increased 8.5% for a total of $351.6m. 

Gaming drove the most revenue of any vertical for Accel Entertainment by a wide margin, producing just over $331.4m and increasing 9.8%.

How did the operator eventually set new records in revenue and adjusted EBITDA?

Amusement and manufacturing witnessed decreases of 1.4% and 67.9%, respectively, totaling $5.8m and $1.2m for Q1. ATM fees and other revenue reached $13.1m during the period, equating to growth of 7.2%. 

Accel Entertainment’s quarterly adjusted EBITDA record totaled 453.8m, representing an increase of 8.6%. The operator’s net income increased 0.3% to $14.7m, while operating income grew 4.3% to $27.1m.

How has the operator's net income fared since 2021?

Illinois operations accounted for the most revenue of any region in which the operator currently conducts business, generating $252.8m and rising 8.3%. Despite producing the second-most revenue of any state, Accel Entertainment’s revenue in Montana fell 1.2% to $40.6m. 

Nevada and Louisiana generated $29.3m and $10.1m of respective Q1 revenue for the operator, equating to increases of 6.1% and 12.4%. Nebraska reported $11.4m of revenue and rose 57.4%, while Georgia operations totaled $6.2m and increased 43%.

The quarterly records for net revenue and adjusted EBITDA were produced even with an 8.9% increase in operating expenses to $324.5m, including $241.6m for cost of revenue and just over $58m for general and administrative. 

In early February, Accel Entertainment appointed Founder and CEO Andy Rubenstein as Chairman of its Board of Directors, while current President of US Gaming Mark Phelan will take on the additional role of COO and assume President & CEO responsibilities on August 7.

The operator also named Karl Peterson as the Lead Independent Director of the Board, with the transition said to reflect Accel’s long-term commitment to strong corporate governance and a leadership succession strategy.
