Cafrino Gaming has appointed SCCG Management Founder Stephen Crystal as CCO, as the poker platform supplier looks to expand its commercial footprint across regulated and alternative gaming sectors.
The appointment comes during a period of continued growth in social casino, sweepstakes and crypto-linked gaming models, particularly in North America where operators are increasingly exploring poker and casino products outside traditional real-money frameworks.
Cafrino Gaming said Crystal will oversee global commercial strategy, partnerships and account development as the supplier targets expansion across social gaming, promotional sweepstakes platforms, Web3 gaming and regulated real-money operators.
Crystal has spent more than three decades in the gambling sector, with experience spanning land-based casino development, tribal gaming, sportsbook expansion and gaming technology advisory work.
He currently leads SCCG Management, an advisory and business development firm that works with operators, suppliers and technology providers across regulated and emerging markets.
SCCG has expanded its presence in recent years through partnerships linked to payments infrastructure, sports betting technology and hospitality-focused gaming initiatives.
The appointment also reflects continued convergence between social gaming, crypto gaming and regulated gambling markets, as suppliers seek wider distribution opportunities across both traditional operators and digital-native platforms.
Sweepstakes casino and social poker products have seen increased attention across the United States over the past two years, although the segment has also attracted growing regulatory scrutiny in several jurisdictions.
State regulators in markets including Michigan and Connecticut have recently intensified enforcement activity against unlicensed sweepstakes operators, while lawmakers in other states continue debating the legal status of promotional gaming models.
Against that backdrop, suppliers have increasingly sought executives with experience navigating both regulated gaming environments and emerging digital models.
Cafrino Gaming said its poker platform currently supports more than two million players through partnerships involving brands including WWE, Hustler Casino, South Point Casino and CardPlayer Poker.
Stephen Crystal said: “Cafrino has built a platform that sits at the intersection of gaming, entertainment and technology.”
Crystal added: “There is strong demand globally for scalable poker infrastructure across multiple gaming models.”
The appointment follows broader commercial activity from SCCG Management across gaming-adjacent sectors, including payments, hospitality and consumer products tied to casino and sportsbook distribution networks.
In March 2026, SCCG Management CEO Stephen Crystal entered an equity and advisory partnership with beverage brand Brew Shockalaka to support distribution across casino floors, tribal gaming venues and hospitality locations in North America.
Cafrino Gaming said its platform supports deployments across both free-to-play and real-money gaming environments, including crypto-enabled poker products
