The deal extends Dafabet’s county cricket footprint to 12 English First-Class Cricket partners
Branding will appear on playing shirts, Trent Bridge Live and the William Clarke Stand

Dafabet has become the Official Betting Partner of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, extending the operator’s sponsorship presence across English cricket.

The agreement covers both Notts and The Blaze, with Dafabet branding set to appear on the rear of T20 and 50-over playing shirts. The operator will also receive visibility across the William Clarke Stand and the club’s Trent Bridge Live streaming service.

The deal makes Nottinghamshire Dafabet’s 12th partner in English First-Class Cricket. Dafabet’s wider sports sponsorship portfolio also includes Cricket South Africa and Celtic FC, while Northamptonshire confirmed in February that Dafabet would continue as a Principal Partner for its livestream and kit branding.

The partnership arrives during a period of closer scrutiny around gambling sponsorship in UK sport.

The ECB’s gambling sponsorship code, introduced for the 2025 season, applies to Professional County Clubs and Hundred teams. It is built around reinvestment into sport, maintaining integrity, protecting children and adults at risk and socially responsible promotion.

Under the Nottinghamshire agreement, Dafabet branding will not appear on retail or junior shirts. The club said Dafabet’s platforms include age verification, cooling-off periods and limits on deposits, losses and time spent on site.

The use of betting sponsorship in sport remains under regulatory and political attention, particularly in football, where Premier League clubs have agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of matchday shirts from the 2026/27 season.

Cricket’s framework has instead focused on permitted sponsorship activity under sport-specific safeguards.

Dafabet Head of Sponsorship, John Cruces, said: “It’s another example of our commitment to extending our reach within the sport.”

For Nottinghamshire, the agreement adds commercial support around Trent Bridge and its digital broadcast product, with club leadership linking the deal to reinvestment in grassroots and community cricket.

Last month, CopyBet was named Official Betting Partner of Worcester Racecourse for the 2026 National Hunt summer season, sponsoring 57 races across 19 meetings.
