The Cordish Companies and its Cordish Gaming Group division have appointed Jason Birney as the new EVP and GM of Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, where he will oversee all management and operations, including gaming, hotel, F&B, marketing and guest experience.

Prior to joining Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, Birney most recently served as Head of Interactive Operations at Penn Entertainment and VP & GM of Hollywood Casino Columbus.
With Penn Entertainment, Birney held executive leadership responsibility for the operator’s interactive portfolio, including the former Barstool Sportsbook platform, Hollywood Casino and The Score products.
Birney began his gaming career with Caesars Entertainment, having held marketing roles at Harrah's and Showboat in Atlantic City. Speaking on his new appointment, Birney said: "I'm honored to join the exceptional team at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.

In New York, Seneca Resorts & Casinos appointed Lon O’Donnell as its new SVP of Gaming Operations on July 8, where he will develop and implement gaming strategy across the operator’s three commercial properties in the Empire State.
O’Donnell’s focus with Seneca Resorts & Casinos will include developing an enterprise-wide slot floor strategy, including game mix, placement and themes and working with leaders across all gaming operations areas to execute strategic plans and drive successful results.
