MGM Grand Detroit has appointed Eric Sprague as its new VP of Table Game Operations, where he is set to oversee all aspects of the sector while also focusing on improving guest experiences, operational excellence, team member engagement and regulatory compliance.

“His deep operational expertise, commitment to developing talent and ability to deliver results will help strengthen our position as a leading gaming and entertainment destination.”
Prior to joining MGM Grand Detroit, Sprague served as Senior Manager of Slot Technical at MGM National Harbor in Maryland and most recently as Director and VP of Casino Operations at MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.
Sprague first began his career in the sector with Horseshoe Casino Baltimore under the Assistant Shift Manager for Table Games position in April 2014.
Along with its most recent addition of Sprague, MGM Grand Detroit appointed Terry Briggs as its new VP of Slot Operations on May 14, where he began to oversee the property’s slot machine portfolio and evaluate opportunities to optimize its gaming floor.
Briggs most recently served as Director of Slot Operations for Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Louisiana and previously held the Casino Operations Manager role for multiple Penn National Gaming properties.
He also served as Executive Director of Operations at Tortoise Rock Casino, having spent nearly two years with the property. Prior to joining Penn National Gaming, Briggs worked at Bally’s Casino Tunica over a 23+ year tenure.
In June 2026, MGM Grand Detroit led all retail properties in the city with $47.6m of slot machine and table game revenue but witnessed a fall of 1.7%. MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown generated slot machine and table game revenues of $31.8m and $22.4m, respectively, equating to increases of 3.9% and 5.2%.
