Hard Rock Digital has launched its Hard Rock Bet sportsbook and online casino platform in Ontario, marking the company's first international expansion and entry into Canada's largest regulated online gaming market.

The launch comes after Hard Rock Digital secured registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) earlier this year, completing the regulatory process required to operate in the province's open commercial iGaming market.

Ontario has operated its competitive online gambling framework since 2022 under iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, attracting dozens of licensed operators and becoming the benchmark for regulated online gaming in Canada.

Hard Rock Bet enters a market already served by major international operators including BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365 and Fanatics, making Ontario one of the most competitive regulated jurisdictions in North America.

The province has also become a testing ground for operators pursuing omnichannel strategies that combine online gambling with land-based casino assets.

Hard Rock is positioned to take advantage of that approach through Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, which opened in 2025 and provides an established physical presence in the province. The operator said its Ontario business will also include a locally based marketing team and around-the-clock customer support.

The online platform launches with more than 3,000 casino games alongside a full sportsbook offering, including parlays across multiple sports. Players can also access the company's Unity loyalty program and Legendary Reward Drops promotions.

Hard Rock Digital, which serves as Hard Rock International's interactive gaming and sports betting business and the Seminole Tribe of Florida's digital gaming vehicle, has primarily focused on expanding across regulated US jurisdictions.

Ontario therefore represents a significant milestone as the brand's first move beyond the US, with Alberta widely expected to become another competitive Canadian online gaming market following planned regulatory reforms.

Hard Rock Digital CEO Marlon Goldstein said: "Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we've brought our platform to an audience outside the U.S."

Goldstein added: "By investing in local talent, local partnerships, and localized customer support, we're creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players."

Earlier this week, Hard Rock Bet strengthened its US marketing strategy after becoming the official sportsbook of Major League Baseball's Miami Marlins through a multi-year partnership covering in-stadium activations, digital content and broadcast integrations.
