Following the completion of the transition of Primm Valley Casino Resorts’ operations to Primm’s landlord, Primm Valley Casino Resorts has announced the appointment of three new board members – signifying a potential new direction for the organization.
Indeed, the three newly appointed Directors are Ellen F. Whittemore, former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Wynn Resorts; Brad Oates, Chairman of Stone Advisors; and Adam Paul, a restructuring attorney and experienced board advisor.
As outlined by Affinity, these appointments seek to strengthen the company’s governance and strategic oversight, with the three directors bringing expertise across gaming, regulatory affairs, corporate governance, M&A restructuring and strategic transactions.
More specifically, Whittemore brings extensive experience in the gaming industry and regulatory matters, having spent more than two decades at Wynn Resorts. Oates has advised companies and investors across the gaming and hospitality sectors, while Paul brings experience in corporate restructuring, complex transactions and board advisory work.
The appointments come as Affinity completes the previously announced transition of operations at Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Nevada. The company said the conclusion of the transition will allow it to focus on its broader strategic priorities.
Affinity CEO and Chairman David Ross said the additions to the board represent an important step as the company positions itself for its next stage of growth, with the new directors expected to provide additional industry expertise and strategic guidance. More speculatively, the addition of three new board members with broad experience across gaming and strategic operations could signify a more significant shift in direction for Primm Valley as a newly consolidated entity looking forward.
Additional M&A news today has seen Tabcorp unveil a large-scale AU$267m (US$188.6m) takeover of BetMakers in the Australian market.
