Playstudios has reported its financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2026, having witnessed decreases in revenue for both periods due to the “continued effect of secular pressure on our legacy portfolio."

“Our second quarter results reflect the continued effect of secular pressure on our legacy portfolio, including erosion in audience and revenue. At the same time, we are making meaningful progress simplifying Playstudios, reducing its cost structure and establishing a more durable operating model,” Chairman and CEO Andrew Pascal said. 

“Although the full benefit of these actions will take time to appear in our reported results, we believe they are positioning the company for greater operating stability, improved margins and stronger cash flow in the future.”

Net revenue for Q2 decreased 7.3% to $55m, while consolidated AEBITDA during the quarterly period decreased 46.7% to $7.3m. The operator’s net loss totaled $13.3m and increased 350.3% from the loss recorded during Q2 2025. 

Playstudios witnessed a loss from operations of just over $9.5m during Q2, equating to an increase of 173.8% year-over-year. Virtual currency accounted for $42.7m of the operator’s total revenue and decreased 11.5%, while advertising revenue managed to increase 10.7% to $12.3m.

For H1 2026, net revenue decreased 7.1% to $113.4m, while consolidated AEBITDA fell 53.1% to $10.9m. Net loss for the first-half period reached $24m, equating to growth of 310.9% from H1 2025. 

Playstudios reported a loss from operations of nearly $22.9m for H1 2026, representing an increase of 267%. Virtual currency generated $87.9m of revenue for Playstudios during H1 but fell 11.2%, while advertising revenue increased 10.8% to $25.5m. 

Average daily active users for Playstudios fell 18.9% to 1,903 players during Q2, while average monthly active users decreased 22.4% to 7,796. For H1, daily active users decreased 19.8% to 1,997, as monthly active users totaled 8,458 and fell 21.2%. 

The results follow similar activity from Q1 2026, as net revenue during the period fell 6.9% to $58.4m, while the operator’s $10.7m net loss represents an increase of 270.7% from the first quarter of 2025.
