16 Casino Filipino sites have received ISO 9001:2015 certification
The certification is valid through March 22, 2029, subject to annual surveillance audits
PAGCOR says the framework will strengthen efficiency, accountability, and operational consistency

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification for 16 of its Casino Filipino properties. The achievement marks another step in the agency's efforts to strengthen operational standards and quality management across its gaming operations.

The certification was formally presented to PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco during a ceremony at the regulator's corporate office in Pasay City after surveillance audits conducted in March 2026. It applies to 16 Casino Filipino sites, including locations in Mactan, Calamba, Subic Bay Yacht Club, Adriatico, Iloilo, Cagayan Valley, and several other branches nationwide.

According to Tengco, the recognition reflects the organization's commitment to improving the consistency and efficiency of its operations while reinforcing accountability across its casino network.

He said the ISO framework provides a structured approach to strengthening internal processes and delivering more reliable services. Tengco also encouraged employees to support PAGCOR's Quality and Environmental Management System and continue promoting sustainability initiatives throughout the organization.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification will remain valid until March 22, 2029, provided the organization successfully completes its annual surveillance audits. The certification comes during a period of broader institutional development for PAGCOR.

Earlier this month, the regulator hosted officials from the Malawi Gaming & Lotteries Authority as part of a regulatory knowledge exchange, with both sides discussing governance practices and gaming oversight. The visit added to a growing list of international delegations seeking to learn from the Philippine regulatory model, including representatives from Japan and Cambodia.

The achievement also follows a challenging financial period for PAGCOR. The regulator recently reported first-half 2026 revenue of PHP43.32bn (US$703.77m), down 26.64% year over year, largely due to weaker electronic gaming revenue amid ongoing changes to the Philippine gaming landscape. Despite softer financial results, PAGCOR has continued to emphasize regulatory improvements, operational modernization, and international cooperation as part of its long-term strategy.
