Zeal has announced the appointment of a new Vice President of its Games division, York Scheunemann, who brings two decades of leadership experience at technology companies across the globe.

Indeed, Scheunemann spent over 12 years working across a variety of senior roles at Google and has served on advisory boards for numerous 'high-growth' organizations across his career. He will now look to utilize his digital marketing, corporate development and ecosystem growth expertise as he helps oversee Zeal's games strategy amid a period of growth for the company.

Speaking on his appointment, Scheunemann stated: “Zeal has built a highly successful Games business in a very short period of time, establishing it as an important growth driver for the company. I look forward to building on this success together with the team by further developing our offering strategically, unlocking new growth opportunities and expanding the ecosystem around Zeal Games alongside our international partners.”

Echoing this sentiment was Zeal CEO Stefan Tweraser, who said: “Our Games business is a key pillar of Zeal's growth strategy. With York, we are bringing on board a leader with a proven track record of building and scaling digital business models over many years. Elsewhere, the supplier has posted consistent revenue growth in recent quarters, with full-year 2025 revenue increasing 16% and H1 2026 revenue also subject to a 20% upswing year-on-year.
