The Michigan Lottery has chosen to extend its partnership agreement with Instant Win Gaming (IWG) through July 2032, as the supplier will continue to provide the organization with its portfolio of eInstant titles.
“We are incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Michigan Lottery since 2016, when the Lottery became the first in the US to integrate with IWG's InstantRGS (remote game server). The integration provides the Michigan Lottery for a further six years,” IWG EVP Jason Lisiecki said.
“Since 2016, we have worked closely with its team to deliver engaging eInstant experiences and support the continued growth of one of North America's leading iLottery programs. Michigan has consistently been at the forefront of digital lottery innovation, and we look forward to building on our success together through 2032.”
In 2016, Michigan Lottery became the first organization to integrate with IWG’s InstantRGS technology, as the supplier has served as a “key” provider to the organization over the past decade.
IWG also integrated Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Triple Play and Gem7’s Triple Play retail brands onto digital platforms, and will continue offering players direct access to eInstant titles as a result of the extended collaboration.
In January, the Kansas Lottery selected IWG to deliver eInstant games under a new long-term agreement, marking further expansion of the supplier’s presence across North America.
The partnership marks Kansas Lottery as the 33rd NASPL- and WLA-member to work with IWG, as well as the ninth US lottery to deploy the supplier’s digital content.
A central element of the roadmap will focus on adapting traditional retail scratch ticket mechanics into digital-first formats, intended to maintain familiarity for players while supporting engagement within the online channel.
Michigan's commercial and Tribal operators reported $346.1m in combined iGaming and online sports betting gross receipts for July on August 19, up 1.4% month-over-month according to the MGCB
