Hard Rock International has launched its new Hard Rock Hotel Malta property in St. George’s Bay, celebrating the grand opening with a classic guitar smash ceremony and numerous special guests in attendance.

The 397-room property marks a €350m (US$405.5m) investment in Malta’s tourism sector and helped create “several hundred” new jobs across the hospitality and food & beverage industries.
Hard Rock Hotel Malta represents the operator’s first-ever hotel establishment on the island, hosting guests such as Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela, top selling female artist Ira Losco and members of Hard Rock’s executive team during the grand opening event.
SVP of Hotel Operations John Rees also spoke on what the new launch means for Hard Rock, having said, "Tonight is a celebration of Malta's incredible culture, heritage and talent, alongside the music, creativity and experiences that make Hard Rock unique.
"This landmark opening is a significant investment in Malta, with €350 million invested in the island's tourism sector and hundreds of new jobs created. We're so proud to be part of Malta's next chapter and excited for guests to experience everything Hard Rock Hotel Malta has to offer."
Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming unveiled new initiatives, research partnerships and education resources for its PlayersEdge program to celebrate the return of Responsible Gambling Education Month (RGEM) this September.
RGEM is currently led by the American Gaming Association to help promote gambling literacy, evaluate team member training and increase awareness of problem gambling resources.
