Fanatics Sportsbook has enhanced its Fair Play injury protection tool prior to the start of the 2026-2027 NFL season on September 9, offering bettors insurance on rushing props for both quarterbacks and running backs.
Under the enhanced capability, when a quarterback or running back goes over their respective rushing yards total, the bet is then protected from any negative plays – which result in a loss of yardage.
The operator also introduced a new marketing campaign for Fair Play Max, starring actor and ambassador for the injury protection tool Dennis Haysbert.
"At Fanatics, we’re building a better way to experience sports and Fair Play Max is the latest example of how we listen to our community and innovate to ensure that bad luck on the field doesn’t have to turn into a bad beat,” Fanatics App CMO Selena Kalvaria said.
"Dennis is known as one of the most trusted, well-liked spokespeople in TV history, and we’re playfully engaging with that credibility with smart, entertaining creative.”
The campaign features two promotional spots – “Fairwell” and “Roadside” – where Haysbert “translates complex betting protection into relatable, human moments.”
Fanatics Betting and Gaming previously unveiled Fair Play to provide bettors injury protection during the first and second half of NFL and NBA games, having assisted over 500,000 wagers since September 2024.
According to the operator, Fair Play Max will debut across digital and social channels during the week of September 8, while Fanatics launched its new “Super App” – Fanatics Sports & Casino – on September 2.
The new application consolidates sports betting, casino games and prediction market trading under one login, with the experience automatically tailored to the availability of individual products in select US states.
Fanatics Betting & Gaming formed a partnership with Bill Joe Productions and Shadow Lion on September 4 to name Fanatics Sports & Casino as the presenting sponsor of Sundae Conversation
